Explanation of Privacy Policy

What the Privacy Policy Pertains To
The Privacy Policy deals with personal data. According to German BDSG § 3 Abs. 1, these are individual pieces of personal or factual information about a specific or specifiable natural person. These can include, for example, names, mailing addresses, email addresses, or phone numbers, as the case may be, but also user data like IP addresses.

Collection and Storage of User Data
In general, the use of our website does not require you to provide personal data. If this should happen, the data will be used primarily to contact you in response to individual inquiries you have made. If it should happen that we collect and save your personal data, you will be expressly informed in the corresponding section of our website. For the optimization of our website, we gather and save data, including, for example, the date and time of page view, the web page from which you reached our site, and similar data. These data are then anonymized, so that the user is not personally identified. If necessary, user profiles are recorded using an alias. Even in this case, there is no connection between the natural person behind the alias and the recorded user data. We also use cookies to collect and store user data. These are small text files stored on your computer that record statistical information such as your operating system, your web browser, IP address, the last visited page and the time. These data are collected exclusively for statistical purposes, to further optimize our website, and to make our internet offers more attractive. The collection and storage of data occurs only anonymously or using an alias, and thus leaves no trace of you as a natural person.

Proper Use of Personal Data
We respect the principle of the proper use of personal data and collect, process and store your personal data only for the purposes for which you disclose these data to us. We will never pass your personal data on to third-parties without your explicit consent, unless this is necessary for the delivery of our services to you, or for the execution of the contract. Even transmission of data to authorized government institutions and authorities will only occur when there is a legal obligation to give information or if we are obliged by a court ruling about this data. Our company takes internal data protection very seriously, as well. We oblige our employees and the service providers that we hire to be discrete and adhere to the principles of legal data protection.

Data Collection Through Google Analytics
This website uses Google Analytics, a web analysis service of Google Inc. (“Google”). Google Analytics actually uses “cookies,” text data that is saved on your computer that makes it possible to analyze our website's usage. The information created by the cookies about your use of our website (including your IP address) is transferred to a Google server in the USA and saved there. Google uses this information in order to evaluate your use of the website, compiling reports on website activity for website operators and providing other services relating to website activity and internet usage. Google may also transfer this information to third parties if required to do so by law, or if these third parties process the information on Google's behalf. Google will in no case associate your IP address with any other data held by Google.
You may refuse the use of cookies by selecting the appropriate settings on your browser; we warn you that if you do this, you may not be able to use the full range of functions of our website. By using our website, you consent to the processing of data about you collected by Google as described above, which will be used for the purposes explained above. The data collection and storage policy can be modified at any time with changes taking effect from that point in time forward.

In light of the debate about the use of analytical tools with full IP addresses, we would like to inform you that this website uses Google Analytics with the “_anonymizelp()” extension enabled and therefore IP addresses are only processed in shortened form, which precludes any direct correlation to an individual person.

Right to Information and Right of Revocation
At your request, and at any time, you may obtain information from us about data pertaining to you that we have collected. You may also always revoke your consent to the collection and processing of data at any time, without providing an explanation. Please direct all such requests to info(at)
